Charity Coed Soccer Tournament and Summer League Registation
10 June 2019 @ 12:53 PM by Chris Surgeoner

Hi everyone,

All the spring leagues are underway and we are turning our attention to the next big events on the Footy Sevens calendar.

Kicking Cancer's Butt 10 is only two weeks away

Please join us for our tenth annual Kicking Cancer’s Butt Coed Charity Soccer tournament. The tournament is two weeks today at Carleton University on Saturday June 22nd. Every penny of every team registration, donation or referee bribe goes straight to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation for cancer care and research right here in Ottawa.

The tournament takes place over one afternoon/early evening with all teams guaranteed to play at least 3 x 30 minute games. It starts at 12.30pm and wraps up by about 6.30pm with a separate competitive and recreational tournament.

Please help us to add to the $100,000+ that the tournament has raised over the past 9 years by signing up your team for this year’s tournament on the Footy Sevens website.

Summer League Registration Opens Next Week

There are literally one or two team spaces left for our spring leagues: this is the last chance to play spring soccer with us. We will be taking the remaining spring leagues spaces offline on Tuesday.

Details for our summer leagues (late July-early September kick-offs) will be online in the next couple of days and here are the dates for registration opening;

  • Wednesday June 12th: Current captain’s pre-sale opens
  • Monday June 17th: Team registration opens
  • Wednesday June 19th: Individual registration opens

We'll also be offering casual pickup soccer games throughout the summer.

New Footy For All Kids Soccer Programs in Central Ottawa

This summer will see the launch of our first ever children's soccer programs in Ottawa! Our Footy For All kids programs are already a big hit at our field in the GTA with over 200 kids registered last summer. We have fun-filled recreational soccer programs for kids from Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 4 every Wednesday and Friday in July and August.

To celebrate the launch we'll be offering special early bird pricing of only $99 +HST for our Wednesday and Friday programs.

You can find details of our summer programs and leagues for kids at our new kids website, Footy For All: https://ottawa.footyforall.ca/home.seam

Clocktower Brew Pubs: Your destination for post-game food and drinks.

Don’t forget that patio season is here and our exclusive deal with the Clocktower offers the best deal in the city for your post-game socialising. If you head to any Clocktower with 3 or more people, they’ll give you free nachos for the group, and if it is 6 or more people there’s also a pound of free wings (beverage purchase required). You’ll also get back 10% of your total spend over the course of the season as an end of season gift card: perfect for toasting success or drowning your sorrows after the playoffs! With Clocktowers on both Bank Street and Elgin Street, it's the perfect end to an evening of footy at Immaculata or Carleton U.

Even better you don’t have to remember a loyalty card or key tag: thanks to App8 which will track your spending and give proof of eligibility right on your phone.

You can find full details and sign-in in for the offer on the Footy Sevens/Clocktower page

Enjoy the warm weather everyone,

Andrew, Chris, Dan and Matt
